Christopher Peter Meloni (born Christopher Peter Meloni) is an American Actor, best known for his role as the star of the well-known television series Law & Order Special Victims Unit. Since his college days Meloni had a keen interest in acting. Then he studied at his home institution, the University of Colorado at Boulder. He was also active on TV and film and on stage, his appearances on small screens have earned him a lot of popularity. His ability to portray characters from both sides of the law is what has caught the attention of audiences. He played the role of a serial killer in the first TV show he appeared in and then later played of an NYPD detective.
